About Me

My photo
Goddard, KS, United States
I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

Kindergarten!

WOW.. this happened so fast!

I seriously do not know when he got so big. I am so proud of the sweet little man that he is. My paras at work have commented on several occasions how obvious it is how much I love him, and I do!

I have to be to work b y 6:50 every morning. I get my kids off the bus at 7:20 - St. Marks starts at 8:20. I was really wanting to walk Curt in on his first day of school. It worked out beautifully that both my SLP and OT are in my room on Thursdays. I asked my principal if it would be a possibility for  me to leave work for half an hour to run to St. Marks and come right back. He told me that work was a rubber ball, if I drop it it will bounce. My family is glass and I drop them they will break. He then told me to go and walk my son in on his first day of kindergarten, and to tell the principal there he said hello (guess they are friends). I have been blessed to work in a great building. I am so glad that I did not miss out on his mile-stone in his life. After finding his seat he have me a hug/kiss and told me, "Ok Mom you can go. I am fine now." Smile This sentence put a lump in my throat, but I smiled and told him how proud I was of him, reminded him to have a great day, and I left. I did sit in the car and remind myself through tearful eyes that he was going to be fine! And he was!!

Welcome NEW BABY BOY

Monday,July 23rd my little sister had her baby! Jeremiah Aaron Stukey

Shortly after delivery the pediatrician informed them that they would need to rush him to surgery. They noticed that one of his testicales was being "strangled". After a lot of prayers (and some tears) he was done and did wonderful. However the doctors were unable to save the testicle and had to remove it. He has several stiches down the middle of his scrotum, but is healing well. He had to spend the first 24 hours of his life in a special care unit. He is now in a room with them and will hopefully be coming home today. HE IS TOO CUTE!!

Taken a few hours after surgery, when Kelly and Ben were finally taken to see him!

Happy Birthday Mom

July 24th was my Mom’s Birthday. I love her so very much, and am so thankful to have her. She does above and beyond the call of "Mom". So thankful to have such a wonderful role model!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

Happy Baby Girl!

Since taking Callie off of breast milk she is a completely different baby! She is now sleeping 3 hours at a time (this is so much better than 20-30 minutes), is awake without screaming and overall just a blessing to our family!!

A good friend of mine gave Callie this rainbow dress! I was pretty excited because Cadence already had one! Thanks Michelle, she wears it often as I love it when my girls match!

Oklahoma Aquarium

We took a "super short" vacation to Oklahoma with Brett’s parents. We met them up there on Thursday and came home Friday, but with a 6 week old this was plenty of time! Smile

We went to the Oklahoma Aquarium. Curt and Cadie really enjoyed this. The adults thought it was pretty neat as well!

They were able to pet starfish and sea cucumbers.

Thankfully Callie girls slept the entire time!

The walk through shark exhibit was the kids favorite part!

There was a sub diver inside one of the tanks cleaning it. Cadence was enthralled with her. She even waved at Cadie several time. Overall it was a nice little trip.

Aunt Kristin

I decided that Aunt Kristin needed her one blog post! Smile My sister has gone above and beyond to help Callie and I. When she wasn’t here bouncing or walking she would often come and take Curt and Cadie to go and play with her kids. One day (when I was almost to hit the wall) she showed up at 10:30 and told me that she was going to take as many of my children as I would give her so I could go and lay down. By this time I needed the sleep. With tears I sent all three of them with her (by this time I was no longer nursing). I went straight up stairs and wake up at 2:00!! DSC_0975DSC_0980

AUNT KRISTIN WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR YOU!
