About Me

I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

3 Days Over Due

Today I am disappointed... I am disappointed that I am STILL pregnant. I know she will come, I will not be pregnant forever. However, today I am needing a small "pitty party"! I miss my cloths, bending over, holding Cadence, hugging my husband tightly, wrestling with Curtis, going to jazzercise, just plain feeling human.

I ran across this poem on pinterest the other day, and liked it. I have been way to hard on myself as I have watched the body I worked so hard for get big again. Yes, it is a different kind of big, and yes it will not last much longer. I was hoping to get longer than 6 weeks home with my new little princess, however if she doesn’t come soon this isn’t going to happen!!

I keep reminding myself, "She’s just not ready yet!". A sweet friend of mine let me a message yesterday of encouragement. She reminded me that one day I was going to miss the little kicks, the hiccups, and yes even the big belly. (Thanks Valarie)!

40 Weeks

Almost! Monday, Mau 28th our sweet Callie is due!

I am actually in super good spirits about the reality that I may have two more weeks to be pregnant. Of course this does depend on the day! However, yesterday I closed up  my room and checked out from both Maize and the Coop. I am OFFICIALY DONE FOR THE SUMMER! I can be pregnant for two more weeks, since I get to be at home! Smile

Not that we are not trying to get her out. I have done EVERY old wise tale about inducing labor naturally!! Curt and Cadie had a nice little chat with their baby sister. Explaining that she can come out ANYTIME!

Here’s hoping it works!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Tuesday May 15th my Dad turned 51. We celebrated him on Friday. The kids had a blast playing outside in the water with Papa, their Daddies and Uncle Ben. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

I have been a little "crazy" the last few weeks. The good thing is that I can see this and admit it!

I have worked as a para for 5 years, yet had NO CLUE how much work goes into closing up a classroom. Having to get checked out of your building and the Coop, packing up everything for ESY (extended school year) and still trying to have a structured classroom (one more week of school). All while having everything ready for a sub to jump in IF I was to go into labor!

While it has been difficult I do feel as though I have learned to balance pretty well. I still love being a teacher, yet being a MOMMY is still at the top of my list - just under wife! I decided to get a few pictures of Curt and Cadie - while we are still just Curt and Cadie!
