About Me

My photo

I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

Family Time

My sweet little family is full of energy come the evenings.. Personally after working all day, cooking and cleaning up dinner. I would like to go and sit in my chair with my feet up. However, forever thing there is a season.. and I wouldn’t miss this one for the world!

Tuesday after getting the kitchen cleaned back up we took the kids to the park to attempt to fly their kites again. This time SUCCESS!

Of course Cadence carried more about the flowers (weeds) the trying to fly her kite!

Brett was able to get Cadies up as well!

Beautiful evening - love my family!

Eight Year Ago..

I married my best friend. I had no clue how much I would grow to truly love this man! - I am learning daily to submit as Brett leads our family. The funny thing is, submitting is so much easier than leading. So thankful for Brett!!

We spend our anniversary exactly how I would have chosen! Brett and Curtis played softball, while Cadie and I cooked dinner. Then we all went for a walk! After the kids were in bed, Brett and I watched a movie!

Easter 2012

If being honest, dying eggs in probaby on top ten dislike list! - however I smile and do it for my babies!

After Sunday brunch and worship we had our annual Easter egg hunt behind our church building. The little ones always get a heard start..

Everyone else waiting to go!

Today.. it’s too much

I try really hard not to complain on either my blog, or facebook, or in general. Except to my poor husband who gets to hear frequently things that I find irritating.

However today I am feeling the pressure of the responsibilities I have taken on. I have so many blessings, and overall balance my MANY hats pretty well. However after an hour meeting with the Autism specialist today about the plans for the next school year, I am emotionally drained. - I was informed today that because of class sizes (and behavior loads) I will be team teaching next year. I am not excited to share my classroom with another teacher (he/she will have their own room however I will be sharing mine throughout the day since I have a promethean). I also know that if I want to have any say in where and how my things are moved I will be spending some time (more than I would like, having a newborn) in my classroom.

Choosing to take a deep breath and remember that for right now I am hormones with feet.

Let’s fly a kite..

Friday after work Brett and I took the kids to the park so that we could fly their kites. Unfortunately there was not enough wind to keep the kids kites in the air, but we still had fun trying!

Of course trying to feed the ducks a piece of bread is always a fan favorite!
