About Me

My photo
Goddard, KS, United States
I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

Church Picnic/Softball Game!

Last night we had our annual church picnic/softball game! It was such a blessing and we had a blast. We had it with out sister church Cornerstone, and it was nice to see friends we hadn't for a while. After grilled hotdogs, lots of different side dishes and playing in the sand it was finally time for the GAME! They played Cornerstone vs New Foundation. Brett pitched, and I have to say not to bad... made it over the plate probably 70% of the time :) He also hit a home run! Curtis was so excited and was YELLING for his Daddy! The littler kids set up a small game of their own off to the side, and once that became boring they just played in the dirt. I had a wonderful time just sitting and visiting with the ladies. I had intended to play this year, since last year I was pregnant, but Cadie once again had different plans for me! :) But that's okay, maybe next year. Before the night was over Cadie fell asleep on Grandma Peeka, my Grandpa always said Grandma could put ANY baby to sleep....

Look what we found!

Early this morning around 8:00 Curtis and I spotted a turtle crossing the road and into our front yard. Of course we had to go out and meet our guest! After Curtis and Daddy found him, and were done playing they walked him around our addition to the creek! Curt talked about that little turtle ALL DAY! Brett made his day, I love watching him be 'Daddy'!

Wait for Me!

While putting laundry away Curtis and I went to the end of the hall to put towels up. I hear Cadie yelling and Curtis telling her, "It's okay we didn't leave you!" And sure enough she scooted herself all the way down the hall. Guess this means it is time to start locking the gates at the top of the stairs!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Sunday was Father's Day, and we had a wonderful day! We started our day out with Church, and then lunch with Papa Terry and Grandma Cindy. After our visit at Grandma's house Curtis and Daddy talked me into skipping jazzercise and going swimming. Cadie went to Grandma Carol because it was way to hot for her! We had so much fun swimming. After about an hour we let Curtis take the floaty part of his swimsuit off and practice swimming. It has been a very long time since I enjoyed just 'swimming'! After that we went to Papa Hank and Grandma Carol's for pizza, but of course they had to leave because Papa had to go to work! We had a lovely day, very busy but with so much family who can complain! The only sad part for me was the absence of Grandpa Peeka! What a wonderful man he was, and a great legacy he left behind. I miss him dearly, but know that through God's promise I WILL see him again, and when I do I am going to give him A HUGE HUG!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Saturday, June 20,2009 we celebrated my Grandpa/ma Winsor's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Which was actually today June 22. We had a wonderful time. It was planned at Tanganyika wild life park. It was so nice to see my grandparents to genuinely happy. All of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren where there. After lunch, fellowship, pictures, and a trip through the park, everyone was invited to Mark and Lanell's house. And of course that thrilled Curtis. If I haven't stated it before Curtis and Allyson are 'BUDDIES'! It makes me so very happy to sit back and watch all of the cousins interact. I am so very proud of the family I come from! There is always someone with open arms to hold Cadie or play with Curtis.

Let's build a word!

Curt loves to watch Word World. Everything is spelled out, thus a frog is made out of the letters f-r-o-g! So we were 'building words today'! I had B-O-Y, and was very carefully sounding it out for him. BBB-OOO-YYY, and Curtis would repeat everything I said. BBB-OOO-YYY! So we did it a little faster, BB-OO-YY, B-O-Y. All of a sudden Curtis throws his hands up in the air and yells 'I did it'! Very excited I asked him what did he spell, and his reply..... "B-B-B COW!" All I could do was laugh!

SWIMMING LESSONS!

Today Curtis started Swimming lessons! He did AWESOME! I was so proud of you Curtis, how well you listened to Ms. Staci! There are two other little boys in your class. Lucas of course we know, and Devin, who happens to be a friend of mines little boy. THREE BOYS! Today they worked on blowing bubbles like a fish, floating on their backs like Superman, and pushing through the water like a turtle. They also jumped in and played a crocodile game. Curtis was so excited and can't wait to go back tomorrow. Mommy was sitting there watching him on the stairs listening and couldn't believe how old he looked! WOW, I don't know when that happened!

Grandma Winsor's Cookout

We have been so blessed with family! I am very thankful for so many people who love my children. We had a blast at my Grandma Winsor's house over the Memorial Day weekend. Cadie was still a little shy and clung to Mommy, but Curtis WOW he loves the girls! All of them, and I am glad they are all so good to him. Once again this year my Grandpa Peeka was very missed, two years and there is still a gap, however we are Praising God that we had Ruby here and looking beautiful! God you have been so good to our family!

Mother-Daughter

New Foundation had their annual Mother-Daughter outing, and I WENT AS A MOMMY THIS YEAR! It was at Crumb Castle. There was fun, food and wonderful friendship! After food Angie read all the 'little princesses' a story about Gigi, God's princess! It was a wonderful evening of fellowship, and the best part was my beautiful daughter :)

Cadence Lynn

Today (May 29,2009) Cadie turned 6 months old! She has been such a blessing to our family! She is now rolling over both ways, and army crawls EVERYWHERE! I do not know where the last 6 months went. For everything has a season.... and I am LOVING this one :)
