About Me

My photo
Goddard, KS, United States
I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

Happy Birthday Levi

August 1st Levi will turn FOUR! Today Kristin has his birthday party at Pump-it-up! This was the first year that I didn’t have to do a thing but enjoy watching my "not so little" kids run through all of the blow-ups! They are growing so fast!

IMAG0054After playing we went to Carlos O’ Kelllys to eat dinner! Levi looked adorable in his little sombrero, wish I had gotten a picture!!

However this was exactly what my mommy heart needed!! She fell asleep about 10 minutes after we got there!! I love holding a sleeping child!!

Since she took a nap, she was NOT tired come bed time. So after Curtis was asleep I let her get out of her bed, and we did our toes!! I LOVE HAVING A DAUGHTER more then words can express!!

Basketball

We spent most of Saturday playing outside. I have no more homework and the housework could wait!

Poor Curt wasn't much of a match for his Daddy, but he tried really hard.

Too bad his Daddy wouldn't show him any mercy!!

Heavy Hearted

Being faced with the possibility of a hysterectomy Brett and I had to sit down and decide what direction we wanted our (future) family to go?! After a lot of prayer and conversation we decided to trust God with our fertility and put off any discussions of a hysterectomy for a year or two. Almost four weeks ago (through a home pregnancy test) we found out we were soon going to be the parents of three *beautiful* children. However last Thursday after blood work we found out that this pregnancy was not viable and there would be no baby. I thought a miscarriage wouldn't hurt as badly being that I have two beautiful children, but I was wrong... the pain is the same, the emptiness is the same and overall I am heavy hearted. The difference this time is I am not angry. God is still so good, and I am learning what a super strong person I am. Having little ones running about has helped a ton, but it is when the house is quiet that the tears sneak back in.... Everything happens in God's timing, I know this experience has made me a stronger person. One day I will be able to use it for His Glory!

facebook break

I am taking (needing) a break from facebook, needing to unplug for awhile. So if you need to contact me please E-Mail, thanks so much!

Four years ago today my Grandpa Coslett stood in glory before our Heavenly Father..

Today he is still very much missed, however each year our reunion with him gets closer!

We met my Grandma at Restheaven, just as we have for the past four years!!

It’s too hot!!

This was my answer when asked to go out and play on the trampoline... luckily Curt and Cadie have a way fun Dad, who went out in spite of the heat!

Corn Anyone?!

I love the little corn stands that the famers set up during the summer. Corn, squash, cucumbers and zucchini!! My mom and I stopped the other day and spit the price of a box of corn. this was supposed to be 5 dozen ears of corn... but we got...DSC_0942

Almost 6 dozen!

Curtis and Cadie were pretty excited to get to shuck corn with Grandma Carol! Curtis was actually a lot of help!

Pteranodon

I have literally turned our home upside down in search for Curt’s pteranodon. When Brett and I went out of town with Brett’s parents for my birthday I made Pteranodon for Curt while we were at the T-Rex CafĂ©. (which happens to be Curt’s favorite place in the entire world)

I remember seeing him on the 4th maybe the 5th of July, but since then he has disappeared!! After two tear-filled bedtimes I broke down and took Aunt Kristin up on her sweet offer! Levi had made the same pteranodon when they went on vacation this summer, so that he could match Curtis. Kristin offered to give us Levi’s (he only asked for him once, and Kristin changed the subject) and I ordered another one from their website. The best 26 dollars I have ever spent!!

I went and got the "pteranodon" from Kristin after Curt went to sleep, and placed him in his bed. He came down to my room around 6:00 the next morning to show me that he came back.

Thanks Aunt Kristin (and Levi) for being our silent pteranodon heros!!
