T-Ball Time

Curtis is going to play T-Ball this summer at the YMCA. I realized he has never even swung a bat let along hit a ball. We had a bat from the Noah, which he wasn't allowed to play with. (well because bad things would have happened without a designated 'something' to hit) =) My little cousins eat, sleep and breath sports so who else

would I call but my Aunt Roxanne. And she Hooked us Up =) However Curt's *favorite* would have to be Ty's old helmet! It looked so cute on him too!

He really did do an awesome job for his first *practice* Almost always hit the ball and not the stand (or air) =)

(the dogs enjoyed this part as well)

He was really wanting to take the helmet to bed with him; so we compromised and it now has a place on his bookshelf beside his bed...

(I had to slip in and double check he didn't put it on before he went to sleep)

This is how I was referred to today by my supervisor. Not sure why I have let a simple sentence bother me all day to the point of tears and hurt my feelings. The more I have thought about it I've decided she's right.. for one more year until I graduate..

is wife/dishwasher/laundromat/overall housekeeper

exercises when the sun goes down; so I'm home in the evenings

cook/ not a very good one =) but I do at least do it every night

Is this where I thought I'd be at age 26? No not really, however I am content with who I am and what I do.

And most importantly I am just a para who is Saved... My favorite song "Walk on Water" by Britt Nicole

Most of the time my tank is empty and my arms are full BUT I am a lot stronger then I ever imagined possible.. So for today I will have a heavy heart; that someone views me as "Just a Para", and maybe go get my toes done (wink wink Pam) and then tomorrow I will hold my head high because being a para has helped shape me into the teacher that I want to be.

Zoo!

Since blogging has been replacing my scrapbooking these days those who frequently follow my

blog may get very tired of the zoo.... we have a membership =) and I take A LOT OF PICTURES!!

For a child who doesn't make much noise she was very vocal for the penguins..

Fun Weekend at the Zoo!!

Way to Go Little Man!!

Wednesday I was supposed to go to Bunco, but Brett was running behind so I didn't get to go.. I was super bummed BUT it ended up being a really nice evening. We are never all home in the evenings. It's normally just me and the kiddos so it was nice on Wednesday once Brett got home and it was still light out. We decided to go for a walk to Aunt Kristin's house (a little over 2 miles)

Curtis insisted on ridding his bike.. we explained it was a long way and he couldn't just stop if his legs got tired.. he said he understood so off we went =)

Brett attached him to a rope for his safety =) and to shush Mommy!

Brett did pull him on the dirt road... but then
It was all Curtis...

Finally 45 minutes later we made it to 183rd...

And then to St. Andrew's Addition...

Everyone was waiting outside to cheer Curtis on =) Soo cute!

And of course I lost Cadie to Uncle Brett!!

There's a lot of spunk in that little body =) Love him so much!!

Tube Time!!

Friday I took Cadence back to the doctor due to the 2nd day of running a 102 fever.

Unfortunately it was yet ANOTHER ear infection. After looking at her records this was Cadies

fourth infection in her right ear since September. Which evens out to about ever other month of being on an antibiotic. So it is now time that we go and see the ENT and schedule tubes.

I was dragging my feet in the beginning however am very much on board now because I'm just tired of her suffering. Another concern of the pediatrician was that she is almost 17 months and only has words that she almost never says. I have a friend who is an SLP who reassured me that once tubes go in children will normally start talking. So now we wait until next Friday when we see Dr. Eric Bunting (sp??) and he will schedule her tubes... Although

She could probably hear if she would take the bowl off of her head =)

Saturday was Brett and my 6 year Wedding Anniversary

And what better way then to have a family day!!

We decided to go for a walk/run
We all walked (Curt drove) to Central and then Brett and the kids
walked while I ran to 183rd and back.. BUT...
MCQUEEN DIED!!

AND THEN I DID!!

Curtis took our Anniversary picture, and then it was off to dinner.

Ted and Shelley kept the kids so we could go out!

My anniversary gift from Brett... Let me just say if you don't know Brett this is WAY out of character for him... WAY OUT!!

But I got a coupon book full of goodies.. One was he would cancel any plans he had made and come home or take the kids to the park so I could do homework.. and my

FAVORITE one free load of dishes.. (we don't have a dishwasher.. well other than me)

We ended our day with ice cream cones and My Little Pony Books =)

Curt kept telling me Happy Birthday... Guess he was a little confused!!

Overall we had a wonderful 6th Anniversary. I don't make enough time to Praise God and

give Him Thanks for putting someone like Brett as my partner. He keeps me grounded

and while we are COMPLETE opposites I wouldn't change anything about our life!!
