About Me

My photo
Goddard, KS, United States
I am one of the fortunate few who married my very bestfriend! Brett and I started dating when I was a sophmore in highschool, and have been together ever since! So I don't know life without Brett in it, and I wouldn't want to. He has given me so many wonderful things over our 14 years together. However the most precious are our children. I am making this blog for them. One day hopefully they will be able to get some of the joy back they have given to me by reading this!

Bath and BedTime!

Bath Time has to be my favorite time of day!!... Cause bed time is never far behind ;)

While playing in Curtis ChooChoo bed I was informed that I don't play Trains right!... How exactly does one not play trains right?!?! I mean seriously ;)

And it's all fun and games until someone gets bit! It's normally me!!

I So LOVE being a Mommy!!

JAZZERCISE!!

Yesterday Curt did his first Junior Jazzercise. They do these frequently but I have been reluctant to leave him... But he Loved it!

Cadence just wanted to dance with them!
The kids in the back room waiting to begin...

The first dance was a warm up, and Ms Shelley had the kids go and get their Moms to do it with them!

Curtis did really well for about half then he became very shy and decided to just stand there :) But that's okay his Mommy was very proud of him!

Pumpkin Party!

Curtis "helping" Mommy make a Halloween Cake!

Curtis and Cadie waiting at the door for Grandma Cindy and Papa Terry!! So we can go to the Pumpkin Patch!!

Funny that Curtis thought the best part was the Pigs :)

You can hardly see us... Cindy, Me and Cadie! From what I hear at work I am one of the lucky ones I have exceptional In-Laws, who love my children VERY much!

Hay-Rack-Ride after picking our pumpkins!! Levi, Curtis, Cadence, and Lucas!!

Now don't they look Rotten?!?!?! Lucas would NOT touch the inside of the pumpkin! So Curtis got a handful of pumpkin guts and touched Lucas!! Luckily Lucas thought it was funny, so did we!

Cadie didn't much like the inside of the pumpkin either :)

Cadie and Grandma Carol!!

Curtis and Grandma Cindy!!
I am so glad that Brett and I have such wonderful sets of parents, and that my children are able to do things with both of the Grandmas and Grandpas.... At the same time!!

Home Bound!!

Today and Tomorrow are fall break at WSU... Even though I have to work tomorrow It was really nice to have the day off from school. I LOVED my day with Curt, even though he is sick. I was reminded while in the waiting room at the doctors office, just how well behaved he really is (especially in comparison to what was in the waiting room :))
He does have croup!! But luckily, because of already having zopanex due to his asthma, it hasn't gotten that bad. Just a TERRIBLE sounding cough! We stayed home from small group last night, and I skipped ladies night out ;( so that we don't infect anyone else. He is such a trooper. When I went put Cadie in bed he had fallen asleep in my chair :)

Today Cadence took FIVE INDEPENDENT steps! WOW.. it was so exciting Curtis and I where cheering and clapping for her, and she wasn't even sure what she had done :)

These boxes were supposed to be for cleaning their summer clothes out of their closets... Instead we made a TRAIN ;)

I was reminded again yesterday why I am going back to school... I wish the entire world could see children who have autism in structured environment!! They are awesome people!!

Peace in my Chaos!

It seems like I don't have enough patients for my blessings! Brett is gone most every evening, mostly due to work. I have attempted laundry, dishes, and homework ~ however~ my children remind me that I am first of all Mommy. Then I housewife and student! How does one keep up? As I sit here half feeling sorry for myself over being tired and behind on just about everything, I am reminded that one day they won't need me. There will be silence in this house, and I will long for the sound of whining and laughing. So for now I take a deep breath and be Thankful for my absolute chaos that I call normalcy! And hope that I am not all that abnormal just learning as I go.

What Cadie Can Do!

There are many WONDERFUL Things Cadence can do: She Walks (will some assistance)

She has a TOOTH! And she isn't screaming in this picture, I know it looks bad she's mad at me for opening her mouth, but not crying ;) (I promise Grandma Carol)

She feeds herself, EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING she finds! My floors are cleaner than they have been since Curt was her age!

She CLIMBS everything.... Most of the time with help ;)

But the best thing Cadence can do is LOVE! She is at such a fun age right now. She is pushing boundaries, and learning so quickly! There is truly something so very special about having a daughter, I am Thankful to our Heavenly Father for making me her Mommy!

It's October!

I am making sure that I don't forget to be MOMMY.. With all of the "hats" I am wearing lately this has to be my most cherished! It is defiantly the most important role I will ever play. So we took some time out Sat. to just be FAMILY! I didn't even touch homework, and I am paying for that tonight ;) but so worth it! Curt and I made Ghosts to hang out in our front trees. While Halloween has to be one of my top two LEAST favorite holidays, it was so much fun making them with him this year.. And Cadie well, she's just Cadie :) Just hangin' out!!
